Special Discount Programs
California State Parks offers a variety of discounts to visitors who qualify. For more information, inquire at the Campground Entrance Station, the Ranger’s office at the Hearst Castle Visitor Center, or write to:

Examples or Special Discounts are:

DISABLED VETERAN/PRISONER OF WAR PASS:
For honorably discharged war veterans who are residents of California with a 50% or more service-connected disability or a service-connected disability rated at 100% for reasons of unemployability, or were held as prisoners of war by forces hostile to the United States. Entitles the bearer to free use of all State Park System facilities including camping, day use, and Hearst Castle. It is not valid for supplemental fees.

Disabled Discount Pass:
This pass is available to permanently disabled persons and permits a year round 50% discount on use fees including camping, day use, and boating in the California State Parks, (except Hearst Castle tours).

Senior Citizen Discount:
A senior citizen aged 62 or older may receive a $2.00 per night campsite fee discount if requested when making a reservation on the campsite paid for and occupied by the senior citizen. Proof of eligibility for the discount must be shown when paying fees.

Golden Bear Pass:
This pass is valid on an annual basis, from January 1, through December 31, to any person receiving aid to the aged, blind or disabled; any person 62 years of age or over with a limited monthly income or a person receiving aid to families with dependant children.

Annual Day Use Pass: Any visitor to the California State Park is eligible to purchase an Annual Day Use Pass for $125.00 per calendar year. The pass is valid at all State Parks with day use facilities, but cannot be applied to camping fees.
Most passes can be purchased at the Ranger’s office at the Hearst Castle Visitor Center. For more information about the annual day use pass please visit the California State Parks Website.
